Fish stock in the competition sectors
As some captains asked us, what numbers and sizes of fish we stocked to the competition sectors, and what is native fish stock in these sectors, here is a complete overview (the data are approximate). In the sectors 3, 4 and 5, the fish were stocked from raft and evenly distributed to every beat along whole sector.
Sector 1 – Lipno II reservoir – rainbow trout 1500 kg, size 0,3 kg – 3 kg
Sector 2 Vltava 29 – only the upper part (beats 4-8) was stocked by brown trout and brook trout (0,2-0,3 kg, approx. 20 fish to every beat) in April to even fish abundance, sector is based mainly on the native brown trout, in the lower part you can expect some coarse fish and maybe some rainbows ascending from the Lipno II reservoir.
Sector 3 Vltava 28 – sector is based mainly on native brown trout and some coarse fish, rainbows were stocked only in the beginning of April before the opening of the fishing season, beats 14 – 33 were stocked with brown trout in the beginning of May (0,2-0,4 kg, approx. 20 fish to every beat).
Sector 4 Vltava 27 – all sector was stocked by rainbow trout of 0,3 kg – 3 kg and brown trout of 0,2 – 0,3 kg, approx. 50 fish to every beat, there are native brown trout and coarse fish.
Sector 5 Otava – based mainly on native brown trout, grayling and occasionally occurring coarse fish, every beat was additionally stocked by mixture of rainbow trout and brook trout to balance fish stock outside of the trophy section (size 0,3 – 0,8 kg, approx. 25 fish to every beat).
We also stocked same fish outside of the competition sectors to enable appropriate practice.
