Dear Friends and Anglers,

I am very happy to announce that the top international fly-fishing events are returning back to South Bohemia. This time we will organise World Ladies, Masters and Youth Championships in spring and summer 2024, the Seniors World Championships will take place in the same locations in spring 2025.

We are very proud that the organization of this event was awarded to the South-Bohemian Regional Board of the Czech Anglers Union. It is the appreciation of the long-term active participation of Czech representatives in the international fly fishing sport. The annual successes of our competitors, the long-term care of our salmonid fisheries in South Bohemia and also the very successful organization of the European Championship in 2011 and 2018, Youth World Championships 2005 and 2019 and World Seniors Championship 2014.

The Ladies and Masters Championships will be held together in the Vltava River, Malše River and on the Květonov Reservoir and Lipno II Reservoir between May 19 and May 25, 2024; the Youth Championship will be held in the Vltava River between August 11 and August 17, 2024. The centres of the championships will be Vyšší Brod and Rožmberk.

For the Ladies and Masters Championships, we have prepared sectors on different types of rivers and also bank and boat sessions on lakes. We hope that competitors will enjoy fishing in these variable sectors which will prove all the fly-fishing skills.

We are preparing other follow-up events for spectators and visitors. At the occasion of the Championship, we are preparing one afternoon focused on the fishing-competitions for children and also friendly competition for captains. I believe that you will also take this opportunity to visit beautiful and interesting places of interest in the neighbourhood of fly-fishing competitions, because all South Bohemia is worth visiting.
